This print was probably my most challenging, as it was my first drawing involving people. The subject in the drawing is Willard Arthur “Wedge” Miller (1945-1996). Wedge was a PA in Campo, California, from 1975 to 1995 and was known in the Patrol for his expert tracking skills (and other antics). I used a photo of Wedge that was taken from an article in the San Jose Mercury News (5-1-83), featuring Wedge and his tracking skills. The drawing took me about 60 hours to complete.
